“My nickname amongst my friends is Dongdaemun. They say I buy so many clothes.”
“How do you handle so many clothes?”
“I donate the clothes I don’t wear to orphanages or somewhere like that. I guess I should do something good, so when a flea market is open I take things to donate. I do the same with the orphanage as well as the mothers in my town.”
“You don’t feel like you’re wasting your unworn clothes?”
“I think it’s better to do that rather than putting them away at home. Personally I think that clothes too should keep on breathing.”
“Clothes breathe?”
“Yeah. I think clothes should be continually seen by people.”

“친구들 사이에서 별명이 동대문이에요. 하도 옷만 산다고.”
“그럼 그렇게 산 옷은 어떻게 해요?”
“안 입는 옷은 기부를 하긴 해요. 고아원이나 이런데. 좋은 일을 해야 겠다 해서 장터 같은 거 열리면 거기에 갖다 주고, 고아원에도 갖다 주고, 동네 어머님들도 드리고…”
“좀 아깝지 않아요?”
“아깝긴 아까운데. 집에 두고 안 입는 것보다… 저는 개인적으로 옷도 계속 숨을 쉬어야 한다고 생각해서요.”
“옷이 숨을 쉬어요?”
“네. 옷은 사람들한테 계속 보여져야 한다고 생각하거든요.”
